As the pandemic grew in 2020, and the world changed in ways we never thought it would, the media had to make adjustments. One of the biggest changes was the suspension of sports. All of a sudden, there was no baseball, no basketball, no hockey, and fans were left with nothing to watch. At the same time, big tentpole events like Nat Geo's Sharkest had to reposition themselves to remain relevant in the new environment. So Nat Geo made the brilliant move to promote Sharkfest as the biggest sporting event of the year!
We sound designed and mixed almost 200 spots for TV and social media, including many in surround sound, for the 3 month campaign. Nat Geo hired some of the most well known sportscasters, Earl Mann and Kenny Mayne to voice the spots which were both exciting and humorous.
